Our world is consumed by ego.
Wars rage in every corner, skies and earth dimmed by humanity’s relentless pursuit of power and destruction. Ego has become the architect of survival, chaining us to a mode of existence that stifles our true potential. Corporations wrestle for dominance, politicians driven by conquest, families teeter on the brink of collapse. How have we allowed ourselves to be so deeply entrenched in this dense reality? Surely, life offers more than war, division, and the eradication of others for their beliefs, race, or conduct. Yet, blinded by ego, some take lives - others take their own. This world is so steeped in ego that it frightens the soul. Souls dimmed beyond comprehension, their light eclipsed by shadows of pride and self-righteousness. To dream of a world anchored in love and compassion feels like chasing a mirage - a dream I cannot relinquish, even when despair whispers surrender. Saints, prophets, and sages have long sought to pierce this darkness, to illuminate the path of unity. Yet, across the stretch of time, humanity remains captive to ego’s grip, a power that destroys essence, both self-inflicted and imposed by forces unseen. Our essence is unique, yet unfamiliar and frightening. How could we hold such unrefined power at our fingertips? We cannot free ourselves because we cling to righteousness, blind to the bondage of ego. Even when we try, or die trying - we fail to see the truth: freedom lies in surrendering the illusion of control. As the holiday season approaches, we are reminded of what Christmas truly means. For some, it is just another day. For others, it is a moment to pause and remember a greater force - a light that once pierced this darkness. The greatest sin is the human ego, yet we refuse to see our flaws. We deny that ego rules this world and will lead it to ruin. Declaring war in the name of righteousness is easy; what is hard is to accept our imperfections and embrace love and compassion. Love feels weak, perhaps, or exposes vulnerability - a discomfort too great for many to bear. Whatever the reason, it is time to rethink and awaken. It is time to choose union over separation. Essence over ego. We live in a dual world, and we have a choice: love or ego. That choice depends on our willingness to look beyond the material self, designed for survival, control, and pride - and into the heart of our essence. As we near a season of reflection and family, let us ask: What is my true essence beyond ego? What is the part of me that exists for a greater purpose? How can I remember who I am beyond the shadow self? The trauma and pain we endure are born of ego - our own or another’s. Ego is the shadow, its hidden motives leading us to loneliness and self-destruction. We cannot keep choosing this path, for it will lead to ruin. There is a call for awakening. Awakening to the darkness that permeates all things. Darkness exists only because light does. Flip the switch, and you will see your essence. You will see the path ahead, a path that sparkles, heals, gives, and nourishes. This path is accessible to all, without exception. The choice is yours - and yours alone.
