The hole is gapping
The willingness to wonder is peeping 
The need to belong is transparent 
Who will you be without these garments 
Your heart whispers but you've been deafened to its whispers  
It beckons -  but you can no longer sense it 
It's been too long 
Too much has emerged 
Too much seen and encountered 
But there is a gleamer - a resonant feel 
It cannot be seen with the naked eye - nor heard 
But something seeps 
It calls you closer 
It whispers sweet nothings - but whatever you willed is no more 
The desire is stagnant 
No more - the wish sits on the wishing tree - somewhere far away 
Back to your childhood when innocence was the order of all that consumed you 
The wild ways of being - the raw ways of being 
The messy, the unapologetic 
The ways of the old little you 
How to return back to the days that were careless and long 
Filled with laughter and mischief , where the nights were long and the day short 
But how the opposite is true now, where the days feels forever lingering and nights so bitterly short. 
Awaken in slumber, one must muster the energy to rise 
To face the dawning day
How to see the woods for the trees or the trees at all 
If wood still exists
What has become of I?
I ask - nothing of any significance - yet I sigh "how" 
How to be consumed with only the desire to be free again
To be careless again
To play with the pebbles like its the most precious object in the world 
As precious as the diamonds I view now 
How to reach down and find the gem within 
If only - my history comes alive again - what would I say to the old me?

I'd say how precious is your perspective now
How precious your eyes see it the truth
One day the glisten will dull  - at the weight of all the words of the world 
This world has dulled your spark - but worry not because one day as you lay in your bed, the spark will again return
To transfer you over the horizon where you once belonged 
This time you will forever be part of the All where you came from 
Only this world tarnished your will through the ill wills of the many that weighed and pulled you down 
But you never forgot where you came from and to where you would one day return
