So very often we loose the sense of who we are amidst keeping up appearances, through either seeking external validation or desperately trying to fulfill the expectations of others, and in doing so we give our power away and disconnect from our true authentic nature. Most of us wear an invisible mask to fit in, or we conform to different value systems in order to be excepted by our peers or family members. However, for our own sense of happiness it is imperative that we realign back to our true nature if we are to live a successful and fulfilled life, so in light of this, here are 9 ways to help you let go of old programs and be more you!
1) Follow your Passion;
Start following your passion, and if you don't know what your passion is, study, explore, carry out self inquiry and do different activities and classes until you discover what you love.
One way to explore what you love is to look back and examine your childhood, you will undoubtedly find clues to activities that made you tick and happy. What did you do as a child? What types of activates made you happy back then? List them and see if they still interest you, or whether there is a similar activity that you would like to try now - and then go and do it!
2) Find your Inherent Talents and Gifts;
Assess your job or business, are you doing what you love? Does it fulfill you? Does it excite and expand you? This is the time to ask some serious questions about what you spend most of your precious time doing. This assessment is crucial, because we spend majority of our life in a job or focusing on developing our careers, and our choices can significantly impact the level of success and happiness we accomplish in life. So start to list your core skills, what are you really good at in your job? and what tasks do you enjoy doing the most. Also list what you suck at no matter how hard you try. Once you find your key natural gifts, you may want to explore which career, business or job you might be better suited for (that is, if you're not already doing it!), and then work towards your goal. If your job doesn't satisfy you, it's up to you to make an informed mental shift and change it, but before you do, explore your gifts and talents and assess how you can monetise on them through serving others. You were born to share your gifts and talents with the world, don't let them die in you. Follow your passion, and success is guaranteed, follow the money or status and your path will not only be a miserable and unfulfilled one, but it'll seem and feel like success is an elusive concept made only for the elite, and the more you strive for success the more difficult attaining it will seem.
3) Do Something FUN Everyday;
Have fun, schedule fun if you have to! But make sure you have fun everyday, even if it's just for a few minutes. Doing something that is fun puts you in a state of joy, this state is one of the highest vibrational frequencies, and it ensures that you attract in to your experience more of what you desire.
Fun doesn't have to be complicated or expensive, putting a good piece of music and having a sing along or a dance in your pyjamas is fun for some or watching funny clips and movies is fun for others. Choose something that rocks your soul, and then feel good doing it.
4) Create Beliefs that Support You;
Pay close attention to your thoughts and feelings, becoming mindful of our mind chatter is an incredible gift, and one that becomes habitual and easier the more that you practice it. If a negative or fearful thought comes in to your mind, practice the art of accepting it, thanking it and then releasing and rewriting it ... This will set you free and it's a simple ritual to cleanse your limiting beliefs.
For example if you think; "look how amazing she looks, I am too fat to wear what she is wearing" ... acknowledge the thought as it enters your mind, and say something along the lines of ..."dear mind, thank you for sharing your messages, I am grateful for your ideas, and it's commanded for the belief that I am fat and not good enough to be deleted and replaced with the belief that I AM ENOUGH, and that I love every part of my self, and it is done so, thank you".
Understand that your thoughts carry important messages about your core limiting beliefs, use your daily thoughts as a gift for uncovering your limiting beliefs. The code to creating life experiences stems from our belief structures, what you believe you become. Therefore understand your beliefs through your thoughts, words and actions. Everything you are today is rooted from your belief system. Once you start this practice, you'll realise just how fascinating and multi layered you actually are!
5) Celebrate Yourself;
Celebrate yourself at least once a week! Do something that really honours you for who you are. Whether this means a bubble bath with chocolates, or standing in front of the mirror adorning yourself with loving words, or treating yourself to a foot massage. Just do something which signifies a celebration of who you are! As you celebrate, adore and value yourself, affirm to yourself how much you are really worth the love. The first real love always starts with the self, so spoil yourself in whichever way that feels good for you.
6) Power of Intention will Lead you to Greatness;
life is energy, and energy is magical, therefore use your mind energy wisely. Theme the year ahead, don't worry about listing 20 resolutions by January 1st. Instead theme your year with just one goal or aim, and then take actions to achieve that 1 goal and embody more of its energy. For example, one year, the theme of my year was leadership, I then spent the rest of the 12 months developing my skills and embodying the traits that I needed to be a great leader. Your goal and intentions will take you places, but keep them simple, the simplicity of it will motivate you to take the first step, and the rest will flow.
7) Reflection is Self Mastery;
Reflect at least once a day, keep a journal, and record your emotions and the lessons you learn each day. Everyday brings a gift for expansion, are you witnessing and grateful for this expansion? Or are you missing the opportunity? Journaling is one of the best ways to check in with your emotions and find the meaning behind your experiences.
8) Dream your Way to Self Awareness;
Our dreams have a wealth of messages for us served by our unconscious mind, they bring to light our deep rooted beliefs in symbols and stories. They offer you a gift of decanting your beliefs and an opportunity to re-write the old programs. Don't lose the messages, record them, decipher them and rewrite them according to your desires.
You can also use dreams in order to find answers to your personal questions and dilemma's. Simply ask or write the question before you sleep, place it under your pillow and have faith that the answer will be revealed to you in the dream.
9) Blessings go a Long Way;
Bless the water that you drink, and bless the food that you consume. Bless the people you meet (even if they don't deserve it!). Bless your past and everyone in it. A simple act of offering blessings places you in the energy of giving, know that when you give you'll receive back ten folds! But don't do this rite from a place of need. Do it from a place of giving, as the energetic frequency of offering blessings will bring you closer to your true authentic nature!
